Nfl Tickets - Nfc South Preview
NFL tickets for all NFC South teams can be found at StubHub.com.
Falcons - The Falcons are in rebuilding mode and are trying to forget the Michael Vick era in Atlanta. They made that abundantly clear by drafting Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan and making him the face of the franchise by giving him a huge contract. They also acquired Michael Turner via free agency which should bolster their running game. Ryan has a lot of learning to do and the team really won't get going offensively until he grasps the system. The team isn't going to win very many games this season, but they're young players will have a chance to develop and their offensive players will have time to gel.
Panthers - The Panthers are a tough team to figure out. They always look to have the talent to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl but don't seem to put it together. I think the skills of rookie running back Jonathan Stewart are going to translate very well to the pros and he should be getting more carries than DeAngelo Williams by week three. But the team will go as QB Jake Delhomme goes. If he can stay healthy and get things going with Steve Smith, the offense could roll. The defense is pretty good and they have one of the best defensive players in the league in Julius Peppers. It's all about putting everything together and living up to their potential as a team.
Saints - This is a team to watch this season. They started so slowly last year that they couldn't recover and make the playoffs despite turning things around in the second half. The offense is going to put up points; they just need to be able to slow down their opponents. Acquiring Jonathan Vilma may have been the best move of the offseason. He's a fantastic player in a 4-3 scheme and should be fan favorite in New Orleans. If the defense can take some strides, there's no telling how far this team can go. Even if they don't win games, Reggie Bush will still sell NFL Tickets in New Orleans.
Bucs - This team is hard to get a read on. Jeff Garcia can only take them so far and there's no telling how Cadillac Williams is going to do in his return from injury. The team has some nice young players but a lot of their starters are getting a bit old. I don't see them making the playoffs this season.

Week 17 picks, anybody?
Who do you think will win this week's games? Here are my picks:
Carolina @ Atlanta: Falcons. This one's a no brainer as Falcons will play starters to clinch the NFC South.
Pittsburgh @ Cleveland: Browns. Cleveland has shown it has the ability to play well against good teams, and I have a feeling they will get it done at home, ultimately costing the Steelers the division.
Minnesota @ Detroit: Lions. Yes, the Lions end the season on a four game winning streak by beating everyone's favorite preseason Super Bowl pick.
Oakland @ Kansas City: Raiders. Similar to the Browns, Oakland is out of playoff contention but still has the opportunity to play spoiler within it's own division. They do just that, handing the Chiefs their first home loss and forcing them to play Pittsburgh instead of the reeling Jets.
Miami @ New England: Dolphins. Pats are already locked in as AFC's top seed, so they have nothing to play for and should rest their starters against a capable Miami Dolphins squad.
Tampa Bay @ New Orleans: Bucs. Tampa wins a thriller to stay alive, but will be eliminated later in the day by virtue of a Packers win.
Buffalo @ New York Jets: Bills. Jets sloppy play continues as they can't even beat the worst team in the AFC at home.
Cincinnati @ Baltimore: Ravens. Unlike it's in-state counterpart, Cincy can't play spoiler as division goes to Ravens. On the flip side, Bengals DO nab the second pick in the Draft via wins by Denver and Buffalo.
Jacksonville @ Houston: Jags. Like the Bucs, a solid win on the road isn't enough to go to the playoffs as the Colts win the division by winning as well.
New York Giants @ Washington: Redskins. The 'Skins disappointing season ends by winning back to back games against teams that would have otherwise qualified for the playoffs.
Dallas @ Philadelphia: Cowboys. Like the Patriots, the Eagles are already locked into their seed in the playoffs and should rest their starters, especially Vick who appeared shaken up against Minnesota.
Arizona @ San Francisco: Arizona. The 49ers end up splitting all three divisional series- beating Seattle and St. Louis at home and 'Zona on the road. Ironically, they end up better off by losing as they receive the third pick of the Draft while Arizona slips down.
Chicago @ Green Bay: Packers. With nothing to play for, the Bears will be an easy target for the Packers, who clinch a spot in the playoffs for the second straight year.
Tennessee @ Indianapolis: Colts. The Titans are unable to play spoiler as the Colts clinch the AFC South yet again.
San Diego @ Denver: Broncos. The Tebow Show continues as he leads Denver to their second straight win after losing nine of ten prior.
St. Louis @ Seattle: St. Louis. This one is tough because of Seattle's 12th man home field advantage, but I think Bradford steps up to the pressure and clinches this week. Besides, there has to be at least one team at .500 in the NFC West, right?
In case anyone's wondering, I reiterated the cities in the NFC West because that division is just that terrible. And no, I'm not biased towards the East Coast- I'm a 49ers fan.
